August 25, 2006, Newsletter Issue #16: Spa Filtration Pumps

Tip of the Week

A spa's filtration system is the most important part of the spa, and the pump should be considered the spa's very heart. The pump sends the water through the filtration system and back into the spa after it's clean. So, a pump that's reliable and capable is a key ingredient for an efficient filtration system. The pump should be able to pump the water quickly, and it should be quiet. It should also be able to run continuously without overheating. Pumps can be one of the first mechanical items affected by poor water quality, too. Find out what type of pump your spa uses, and learn more about it at the pump manufacturer's Website, if you can. A good quality pump should be quiet, efficient, and last for many years.
